Celebrating 40 years of successful growth

Jones & Company started trading in 1945 as a traditional ironmongers and its premises in those days was on the Blue Boar Row and Endless Street, now currently occupied by Pizza Express and Bang and Olufsen Music Centre.

The ownership of the company changed in 1965 and the name Jones & Company (Salisbury Kitchen Planning Centre) was registered. Trading was transferred to its current site in Rollestone Street. In 1990 it acquired the adjacent property from Hayballs and the showrooms were expanded to a total area of 5500 square feet while still maintaining a useful customer car park.

With the large floor area now available it was possible to offer one of the finest selections of fitted kitchens and bathrooms in the district. With over 50 beautiful displays, customers are spoilt for choice.

Kitchens are of all rigid construction and are offered in oak, maple, laminate, high gloss and ready-to-paint finishes. Worktops are available in top quality laminates, Corian, Zodiaq, Granite or Solid Wood. Well over 70 appliances are on show from Neff, Miele, and Siemens including built-in ovens, hobs, hoods, refrigerators, freezers, dishwashers, washing machines and waste disposal units. Many are connected and plumbed and can therefore be fully demonstrated.

The bathroom and shower department has almost doubled in size over the past two years and now offers a mouth watering selection of equipment from Idea Standard, Armitage Shanks, Showerlux, Huppe, Jacuzzi and Mira. Built-in bathroom furniture has become extremely popular lately and a wide selection of styles are on display. Bathroom accessories in all finishes are available to add that final touch.

The company has not forgotten its roots and still offers a good selection of basic ironmongery and plumbing materials.

There are now 17 members of staff who operate the showrooms, stores, accounts office and drawing office. The latter is fully computerised and is able to offer the customer first class three dimensional drawings of the proposed kitchen or bathroom design.

A large team of expert fitters, some of whom have been working with the company for over 25 years, are available to carry out all aspects of kitchen and bathroom installation including; carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, gas installations, tiling and decorating.

Jones & Company has always been able to offer good quality products at exceptionally keen prices and at the same time maintain a personal, friendly and well informed service. A great deal of new business is obtained from recommendation from satisfied customers so by maintaining the same high standards the company will continue to go from strength to strength.
